Tattoo
A tattoo is a form of body modification where ink is inserted into the skin using needles. The ink is placed deep into the dermis layer of the skin. Tattoo machines use a series of needles that puncture the skin to deposit ink and move rapidly in and out of the skin to create a fine line of ink.
Piercing
Body piercing involves creating a small hole in the skin using a needle or other sharp instrument. The process is typically done by a professional piercer, who will clean the area, mark it and insert the needle.
Permanent make up
Permanent makeup, also called a cosmetic tattoo or micropigmentation, is done with the use of a pen containing iron oxide that tattoos the skin and to create the look of makeup
